CONCEPT Purpose : To have the premier English training centers and program in all of China.Mission: To provide premier training in English leading to a certification in conversational English, as well as the ability to translate and conduct business negotiations in English and the American business context. To lay the groundwork for the transition of the approval for the College of American English to become registered degree granting college in China, The College of America, offering degrees in English, American Business Culture, and the History of American Ideas and Culture. Key Personnel: All teachers will be American instructors. Some will be degreed in English, some will be short term employees, all English instructors will have ESL certification. College Management:
Synopsis: It is our goal to develop viable businesses that will allow Americans to engage in legitimate and long term business in the People’s Republic of China. We look forward to staff our colleges with career minded Americans, although we can also use short-term personnel who wish to explore the culture and opportunities of working and living in China, to supplement the long term personnel we seek to staff with. The College of American English is beginning in 2010 to establish ESL teaching centers throughout all of China, in a long term business development project. We have developed a unique approach that will give us competitive superiority in this business market. We want all our teachers to be Americans, who speak American English. We have created a new cutting edge American English as a Second Language curriculum, which does not depend on 40 year old Oxford University textbooks and the learning by rote teaching methodology. The instructor will lead their class through lessons that will be on PowerPoint and have interesting activities to learn from. Our curriculum developer will provide our teachers the orientation they will need for effective use of our methods and curriculum. Projected Development: Future Expansion cities in China.
